This year we have discovered that Rachel, a close friend of our employee’s partner, has received the devastating news that she has a rare form of breast cancer.
She has recently undergone surgery to remove the tumour and, to show their solidarity, a group of 4 friends are raising money for Cancer Research and have completed 100 sponsored skips each a day during the month of February. They have already raised over £1500 through various avenues of fundraising but are striving for more.
On Sunday 26th February they are holding a family fundraiser where they will all skip together for the cause and are aiming to raise a further £1000 through a raffle and an auction.
They have received gifts from various supermarkets, restaurants, health clubs, hair and beauty salons and of course all of us at Jobsworth wished to gift a prize to help a charity that is close to our hearts.
We have gifted an experience in our executive box at Bescot Stadium to watch Walsall FC vs Barrow on Saturday 4th March 2023.
We wish all the best to the girls fundraising – Victoria, Sinead, Katie and Louise – and to Rachel in her recovery.
